Pungo's Strawberry Festival

Every year, Pungo holds its Strawberry Festival which has grown with each new season. For the first time, Tony and I decided to check it out. For a strawberry festival, there was more fried food than there were strawberries - so I am not sure we'll be checking it out again. However, Nicholas seemed to like all the attention he got as he was strolled along in his "Snuggli."
Aunt Becky - Nicholas got LOTS of comments on his "All-American Baby" outfit! =) Even though he has room to grow with it, we thought it was appropriate for the Memorial Day weekend.

The Baptism of Nicholas Mindaugas

The light of God surrounds me. The love of God enfolds me. The power of God protects me. The presence of God watches over me. Wherever I am, God is.
Thank you to all who participated in this very special occassion. It was so special for us to be surrounded by our family and our friends as Nicholas received this important Sacrament.

A Weekend with Oma and Opa

We were treated with a beautiful evening on Thursday - so we kicked things off with a backyard dinner. Nicholas enjoyed the company as he played in his bouncy seat. Friday, Oma and Opa took over and watched Nicholas while Tony and I worked. Then, they kept watch over Nicholas Friday evening, allowing Tony and I to go out to dinner - our first date in a long time!!

Saturday was full of fun as we took Nicholas to the zoo. As usual, Leah was our personal tour guide. We stopped at "Moe's" for burritos on the way home. Nicholas was angelic in church Sat. evening and went to sleep early enough for us to enjoy a blockbuster night with "Atonement." We were able to dive into the goodie basket that Mike, Allison, Emily and Tarra sent for Mother's Day.

Sunday, Mother's Day, was kicked off by Oma and Opa taking the morning shift with Nicholas to allow "mommy" to sleep in until 7:30!! Opa finished piecing together an awesome excer-saucer for Nicholas, compliments of cousins Laura, Amy and Jill. Nicholas LOVED it. Then Tony came back from overnight duty to make belgian waffles. A little later, we all witnessed the first cereal feeding of Nicholas - he did great (Oma and Opa have the pictures - so they will be coming soon)!

The rest of Mother's Day was spent being lazy...it felt great.

Hope all you other mother's had a perfect day.

Percentiles

At 4 months and 1 day, Nicholas weighed in at 17.5lbs and measured 26.5 inches long! His weight puts him in the 90th percentile (meaning 9% of babies his age weigh more and 89% weigh less). His length puts him in the 95th percentile...so only 4% of babies his age are longer than him.

No matter how the numbers fall, we think he measures up just fine...

April 8 and May 8

Nicholas seems to get bigger every single day...and, a little cuter, too!

Nicholas was born! It's hard to believe that Nicholas is 4 months old already. The time sure flies.

We'll go tomorrow for his 4 month check-up. We'll find out how much he weighs and how long he is now. He'll also, unfortunalty, get some shots. I am going to guess he's about 18 pounds. I'll try to post the actual weight sometime tomorrow.

Nicholas is getting ready for a visit from Grandma and Grandpa Clark! He can't wait to see them!

Nicholas goes to Mt. Trashmore

Although he may not remember, Nicholas has been around Mt. Trashmore (http://www.virginia.org/site/description.asp?attrID=24654) quite a few times! It's where I got most of my excercise while pregant.

On Wednesday and Thursday, he got to see Mt. Trashmore "from the outside." We had beautiful weather both days.
