Hugs rule...

Haley, the daycare dog, can handle Nicholas' big hugs quite well compared to our cat. Although, I have to admit, our cat is pretty patient with him, too. Nicholas has become a hugger...and we'll take one anytime we can get one from him.

A big day for a big boy...

Today was a first for mommy and for Nicholas. Usually, mommy has to carry him out of the house and put him in the car seat and then take him out and carry him into daycare. Today, however, Nicholas left the house on his own two feet and walked to the car. Then, when we got to Ms. Deanna's house, he walked from the car to her doorstep all on his own. Big steps for a little guy!

He's made such amazing progress with getting around! Now, mommy and daddy have to keep up with HIM!

From snow to the 70's within a week...

Last weekend was nearly perfect as far as weather goes. It was sunny, not TOO hot, but definitely not cold. It was t-shirt and sweats kind of weather, my favorite! We spent a lot of time outside, taking Nicholas to the park and also to the barn where our friend Leah keeps her horses. Nicholas really loved checking out the new scenery. He wasn't intimidated by the horses unlike the first time he went there...too bad the colder weather is due back later this week. I could be happy with mid-70's and no humidity for a long time.

2 Hour Delay

I am sure that Becky, Jim and the kids will get a good laugh at this one - considering the amount of snow they've had so far this year...but, Nicholas got to enjoy a 2-hour delay with mommy this morning...
